 My name is Molly Hammer and I am the author behind Homemade Away From Home. I was born and raised in Iowa and I am currently a senior at the University of Iowa. I have had a passion for cooking from a young age and enjoy sharing recipes with my family and friends. I started this blog with the intention to share my stories and recipes with a broader audience. Life as a college student has altered the way I cook, but not my love for cooking. From recreating the first dish I learned to cook (scrambled eggs and cheese) to trying daring recipes I discovered on the Internet, my hope is that this blog will enable me to revisit the history behind my passion for cooking while documenting my final year of college through my adventures with food.
